How can I get care when I’m out of state?

Routine care should be received by a doctor that is part of our AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire network of providers. You can search for in-network doctors.

Some providers in our network offer telehealth services. You use our online Provider Search and select “Places by Type” and search for “TeleCare”. This means you can visit an in-network provider through video without actually being at the same location. This only works for certain types of services such as mental health counseling.

If you are traveling out of state and you need care that can’t wait, you may get care at an urgent care center or emergency department.

If you attend school in another state, check with your school to see what health care benefits are available to you through the school. Some schools offer as-needed health care or Student Health Services included with your tuition.

New Hampshire borders multiple other states, and there may be some providers that are part of AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire’s network who are located in a neighboring state. Use our provider search tool  or call Member Services to check if the provider you want to see is part of our network.
